At Warren & Mounce Agency, we pride ourselves on writing exceptional coverage for our clients.

An ACV (actual cash value) home policy is a policy that only offers coverage on the depreciated value of the home, which is oftentimes not enough to cover the damages, leaving the client to cover those damages out of pocket.

State minimum auto liability limits are simply not enough to cover property damage or medical bills to another person in the event of an accident. With these limits, you’re covered for $25k per person, $50k per accident, and $25k in property damage.

As we know, hospital bills can cost far more than $25k.

So, in the event of someone requesting these coverages, we respectfully offer the answer “no” and recommend other local agents/brokerages.

Thankfully, these requests don’t come in very often!

How do natural disasters impact insurance rates?!

When a weather related catastrophic event occurs, insurance companies are paying out on obligations that they were contractually obligated to pay based on their clients’ in-force policies.

What does that mean? Millions and millions are going out the door.

That being said, the insurance companies have to compensate for these losses somewhere.

Inevitably, rates are increased to compensate for the losses of the insurance companies.
